In recent years, the household heating market has continued to be popular, and more and more families have escaped the invasion of winter cold - all thanks to the diligent work of the radiator heating system at home! At the time of the spring breeze ten miles away, as the temperature rises, many household radiator heating systems have also gradually ended their hard work. So, how should the radiator system be cleaned and maintained? Jiuding radiator tells you the method of maintaining the radiator
1、 Radiator Cleaning Trilogy
1. Clean the surface of the radiator
If there is dust on the surface of a new type radiator, it is very easy to clean. Just use a clean damp cloth or a freely curved duster to carefully wipe it a few times and it will be as shiny as new. If it is an old-fashioned cast iron radiator with a rough and unsmooth surface that is difficult to clean, it is recommended to patiently scrub it with a cloth. Although cleaning is difficult, it should be cleaned regularly to avoid accumulating more and affecting the heat dissipation effect.
2. Clean the radiator filter screen
If the filter screen of the radiator is not cleaned in a timely manner, it will easily lead to poor circulation of the heating pipeline, thereby affecting the flow rate of hot water inside the radiator and reducing the release of heat.
The cleaning of the radiator filter mainly involves the following four steps:
(1) Close the inlet and outlet valves of the radiator;
(2) Find the correct position of the radiator filter screen. There is a radiator filter installed between the heating meter and the radiator inlet valve;
(3) Use a wrench to unscrew the plug, take out the filter, rinse it clean, and then install it. Tighten the plug;
(4) After opening all valves and hearing a noticeable sound of flowing water, the radiator can heat up again.
3. Avoid internal scaling of the radiator
Firstly, it is important to understand the causes of scale formation. The heating system consists of gas boilers, heating pipelines, and radiators. The boiler is more prone to scale in the heating section, while the radiator is less prone to scale in the cooling section.
This is similar to the fact that boiling water in daily life is prone to scaling, and insulated hot water bottles are less prone to rusting. Before the official operation of the heating system, the heating company had already added anti scaling chemicals to the heating system to avoid scaling. That's why users cannot privately release water from the radiator, as it contains chemical components. If the temperature of the radiator at home drops or there is abnormal noise in the radiator, it is recommended that users seek professional help to flush the inside of the radiator to avoid water leakage during self cleaning.
2、 Radiator Maintenance Trio
1. Why does the radiator need maintenance?
If the water quality in the wall mounted furnace is poor, it will corrode the radiator and affect its service life. And the household heating system is a circular whole, if impurities appear in the water, it will also affect the heat dissipation and service life.
2. How to determine whether the radiator at home should be maintained or not?
When one of the following situations occurs, your radiator at home is likely to need cleaning or maintenance:
(1) The radiator has been unable to rise in temperature.
(2) After three days of cooling down, some management connections experienced water leakage.
(3) The air pressure is unstable.
3. How to maintain the radiator?
(1) There should be no air left inside the radiator
Before the system stops running, open the radiator vent valve to vent the air in the radiator, and then close the vent valve and inlet/outlet valve.
(2) The radiator needs to be fully maintained with water
After stopping heating, pay attention to full water maintenance, especially for steel radiators. If not maintained with water, it is easy to cause oxidation and corrosion. It is best to maintain aluminum radiators with full water, because aluminum radiators are afraid of alkaline and electrochemical corrosion. Most boiler water quality is alkaline, and this corrosion may accelerate when the system stops running, and ions may be more active.
The home heating system has strong professionalism. Owners should not dismantle and inspect it without authorization to avoid unnecessary trouble. Most importantly, they must contact a professional and legitimate HVAC company for maintenance.
